The Tawi Riverfront came alive from April 14th to 16th with the vibrant TawiMahotsav, bringing together the very best of Jammu’s spirit. While visitors enjoyed the serene Tawi River Aarti, mesmerizing laser shows, boating, and celebrity performances, the Jammu Municipal Corporation IEC Team was on a vital mission to gear up for Swachh Survekshan 2025-2026.

Our SBM 2.0 stall served as the heart of sustainability throughout the festival, featuring an interactive waste-sorting game that became a major highlight. The response was incredible, with over 250 people participating and learning the nuances of waste segregation in a fun and engaging way. Alongside the games, our team provided live demonstrations on home composting and the practical importance of using color-coded bins to ensure every household can contribute to a zero-waste Jammu.

A core focus of our outreach was the protection of our lifeline, the Tawi River. We engaged extensively with the crowds to spread the message of keeping the Tawi Riverbed garbage-free and specifically encouraged everyone to use the Visarjan Patras placed near the TawiRiver bridge sides for their pooja samagri instead of throwing it into the water. The massive turnout and public enthusiasm prove that Jammu is ready to shine, but our commitment to the Tawi River must continue long after the festivities end. By adopting waste segregation as a daily habit and keeping our water bodies clean, we are building a greener future together and taking Jammu to the top of the national rankings.
