JK Spartans – Program Overview

The program includes several key initiatives:

Green Campuses: Aims to create environmentally sustainable and waste-responsible campuses that promote clean living and ecological stewardship. It focuses on integrating cleanliness into daily campus operations, promoting waste segregation, and encouraging green infrastructure and energy efficiency.

Green Currency: This rewards-based system will incentivize eco-friendly behavior by rewarding citizens, students, and organizations with “Green Currency” for their consistent cleanliness and sustainability efforts.

Swachhata Spartan Badge: A recognition system for volunteers who have significantly contributed to cleanliness activities. Badges are awarded based on hours of service: Bronze for 50 hours, Silver for 75 hours, and Gold for 100 hours.

Toycathon: An initiative to foster innovation in toy design using sustainable, biodegradable, or recycled materials. The goal is to promote Indian values and replace plastic and battery-operated toys with eco-friendly alternatives.

Artathon: This program promotes the concept of ‘waste to wonder’ by encouraging the creation of art from discarded or recyclable materials to raise awareness about waste management.

Vlog & Blog Competition: A platform for creative minds to express ideas and stories on themes like cleanliness, sustainability, and social change.

Pledgethon: An initiative to mobilize youth to pledge for Swachhata and sustainability, turning their commitments into collective action.

Swachhata and Sustainability Innovation Challenge: A challenge to inspire individuals and start-ups to develop scalable solutions for waste management, resource conservation, and eco-friendly practices. Themes include Smart Waste Management, Plastic-Free Future, and Waste to Wealth.
