KISHTWAR, As the momentum for “Swachhtantra 2.0 – Pride in Democracy, Pride in Cleanliness” builds across the division, the Municipal Council Kishtwar orchestrated a landmark event today at the DC Office complex to reinforce the spirit of environmental responsibility ahead of Republic Day. The initiative, which combined physical fitness with civic duty, saw the active participation of top district leadership and the local community in a mission to promote a cleaner and greener Kishtwar.
The event was headlined by a high-energy Plog Run a specialized drive involving jogging while picking up litter within the premises of the DC Office. In a significant show of leadership and personal commitment, the Honorable Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar led from the front, participating in the run and demonstrating the importance of hands-on involvement in urban sanitation. Following the drive, the Deputy Commissioner administered the solemn Swachhata Pledge to all attendees, invoking a sense of individual and collective accountability toward maintaining the sanctity of public spaces.
