Demonstrating the simplicity and importance of responsible waste management, Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS), Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 J&K & Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, recently shared a glimpse of his daily routine—handing over pre-segregated waste directly to the door-to-door collection vehicle.

With the enforcement of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, source segregation is no longer just a recommendation; it is a vital civic duty. By dividing household waste into four distinct categories—Wet, Dry, Sanitary, and Special Care , every citizen can directly contribute to a scientific, sustainable, and greener waste management ecosystem.
